Ok ladies!! I may sound so ignorant here but I have never experienced this before. I have been waking up lately throughout the night choking! Coughing up bile and what almost feels like acid/ it is horrible. This afternoon while napping I woke up choking and started throwing up from the amount of fluid that went down the wrong tube! Now during the day I am feeling pain in my chest and feels like acid coming up my chest. I have been taking TUMS for about a week now and have alreDy gone through half a bottle. I can't seem to find any relief. I am sitting up tonight to sleep cause I am so afraid of waking to the same coughing and throwing up episode I had this afternoon. Is this just acid reflux or can it be both reflux and heartburn? What causes this? Am I eating something that make this worse.?
