I was just wondering if anyone else knows what labor and delivery wants to happen before going in to be checked for preeclampsia.

I woke up around 12am with a bad headache, went back to sleep in hopes to sleep in off. Woke up again at 2 and the headache was still there full force so I decided to get up, take some Tylenol and go downstairs to check my blood pressure. It was 142/98. I sat up for a couple hours cause I couldn't fall asleep from my headache and finally went upstairs around 4 and fell asleep until 5:15. Woke up with the headache getting no better. Checked my blood pressure again and it's 158/102.

I was just wondering if they look for a certain time frame and a certain amount of high blood pressures in so many hours before they want you to come in.

I'm going to try and go back to sleep for a couple more hours but if I wake up and my headache is still here and blood pressure is still high I'm definitely going to be calling them.

Just wanted to know some other ladies experience with preeclampsia.
