Is your dad still in your life?

I’ve recently made the decision to cut my dad out of my life for a number of reasons, I’ve realised a lot of people don’t have a dad in their life and just don’t want to feel alone

I honestly have been debating for a few years now on whether or not to cut my father out. A couple weeks ago he came to visit while my boyfriend was gone with the military, he was supposed to be helping me with my daughter and helping me around the house because I have a 2 year old and I'm also 6 1/2 months pregnant. He didn't help at all, made me and my step sister pay for everything, lied to family saying we took advantage of him, raided my fridge and went through my nightstand in my bedroom without my consent, refused to buy my 10 year old sister food and talked down to her for being hungry at all. Not to mention showed the lost selfish behavior I'd ever seen. We got hit with me, my daughter, and my 10 year old sister in the back seat. We were sitting at a red light and the lady wasn't paying attention. So she didn't even hit her brakes. She rammed her SUV into the F250 behind us which then in turn hit us. She hit him so hard her SUV went underneath the bed of the truck and lifted the guys truck up. 
I had my lapbelt on my stomach because I was pregnant and really had to pee. I was trying to hold it until we got to the beach. I was also bent over (because we were stopped at the light) trying to plug my phone in so my neck and head hit the back of the drivers seat. 
I spent hours on the ER having sonograms on my organs and to make sure my baby was okay. I had bruising from the seatbelt and I was in a lot of pain. He left me in the ER with my two year old who then preceded to try to rip my IV out so he could go vape, spent the entire 5 hours bitching about how long it was taking, and then when I got discharged forced all of us to still go to the beach. We had to spend three hours at the beach. Meanwhile I was sitting in pain, my daughter was throwing a fit because she was stressed and tired, my step sister and half sister were pissed and hurting. He then proceeded to drive us home and refused to drop off my prescription for my pain meds for my seatbelt injury. My boyfriend had to come back from being away with the army early and he had to take my prescriptions up to be filled because I woke up literally screaming in pain. After that whole experience alone, not even counting the shit he's pulled in the past and since, my boyfriend fully supports me cutting my father out of my life and it looks like all my siblings are going to as well. 
Really the moral is, some people really aren't meant to be parents and just because someone is your blood doesn't mean they have to stay in your life. There comes a point where you have to realize your life will greatly improve without some people and you can't feel obligated to keep someone in your life just because they helped bring you into this world.

My dad and I haven't spoken in about 9 years. My step mother ruined the man that used to be my father. And I don't care for the person he is now. So my life is better off with out him. I don't have room in my life for toxicity.

Yes, mine is still in my life, although sometimes I'd rather he wasn't. He charges me $650.00 just to live with him and my mother. I think he worships money all the time instead of me, his daughter.

My dad was a great dad for the first 8/9 years then he became a alcoholic that blames everyone for his problems! He went to detox got clean I let him stay with me, my fiancé and my kids (he was staying with my grandmother and have been clean for awhile) so he could try and get on his feet but he proceeded to sleep all day stay up all night. Didn't want to get a job and didn't interact with my kids at all. He acted like I owed him something like he was doing me a favor by staying here. then decided it was ok to steal from me! It was all our change in a huge plastic Budweiser bottle hidden in our closet (yes he went through my whole room also stole bullets from my fiancé gun) that was supposed to be our emergency money. I will never talk to that fucker again!

I chose yes, but very rarely. He lives about 10 miles away and he comes around every 3-4 months. Basically only when he needs money. Growing up he was never really involved with my sister or me, even though my mom was married to him until I was 15. I've come to terms with the fact that my kids will never have a real relationship with him.

I have never met my biological dad and never want to. I'm not close to my adoptive dad even though we live together we don't really talk. It's been like that since I came into this family when I was 6.5. If I didn't live in this house my parents probably wouldn't talk to me at all
