Can I pump yet?

Julie

I'm almost 30 weeks pregnant with my second. Just started lactating the other day and hate that it is all just leaking out. Can I go ahead and pump or does this actually hurt or interfere with the pregnancy?

So glad you asked! It's one of those things that you just learn as you go, we've all been there! FYI I pumped as soon as I got home from the hospital because I was so engorged. It provided relief and I ended up having a huge freezer stash, so I plan on doing the same thing this time around 😊

NO do NOT pump 1 its way to early and could send you into preterm labor 2 the only thing that would come out is colostrum it is perfectly normal to leak and you wont even need to pump after birth since colostrum only lasts a few days then your actual milk will come in
