I have been volunteering at the local thrift shop for a few months now, doing a couple of hours a week and helping to organise their art and collectables show they host every August. WELL, I JUST GOT OFFERED A FULL-TIME PAID POSITION, Y'ALL! There are dozens of volunteers who have been there for years but they chose me to join the group of four paid positions! I just got the call that the job is mine and I start next month! It pays crazy well— $18/hr starting wage with benefits (a week paid vacation, sick days + double overtime on holidays) As a 20 year old woman in a less-than desirable living situation, this has been a godsend of a job offer. Just wanted to share :)
