Is your husband/SO your best friend too, or just your husband/SO?

I recently read an article about a woman boasting about that her husband wasn't her best friend. That she would never consider her husband her best friend in a million years. That's what her female friends and family were for. That their relationship is strictly romantic and sexual and that's the way it should be.

I had to disagree to a certain extent.. I get where she's coming from with the whole romantic and sexual relationship but how are you going to spend the rest of your life and every little itty bitty gritty part of it with someone you don't consider your best friend to some extent? Just rubbed me the wrong way.
