Any advice?

Hello, I'm mainly looking to see if I'm overreacting or if anyone knows if this is a legal issue? My 3mo old baby had a slightly more productive eye for about a week, I was keeping an eye on it to see if it was anything concerning. It was very minimal, mainly noticed that the right eye had a tiny bit more "sleepies" in the corner after waking up. Then we wake up and its suddenly full blown goopy and crusted shut. I got her into the doctor within an hour and they said blocked tear duct with secondary infection. I let my sitter know what was going on and that I wanted to keep baby home that day in case the infection was transmissible and to ensure we could keep it properly clean. She then lets me know that she treated it with some homeo stuff the day before, a homemade tincture and colloidal silver, the day before. I asked for the ingredients and asked her to not use anything on my baby without checking first (not the first time I've asked this). She got very defensive and acted like I was accusing her of intentionally harming baby. We have talked it out and are okay now but I'm pretty convinced that she caused the secondary infection by using unsterile drops in her eye. I'm having some trust issues at this point. Am I being dramatic? Thanks! Sorry for the long post.
