D&C or pill

im a bit confused on how i want to miscarry my baby at first i was going to let my body do its job but im getting to the point were i get more depressed knowing i have a baby inside of me that isn't alive. I've never had a d&c; or a pill to get me to start miscarriage before and i need to hear stories of how people d&c; went or how it works and what they do exactly. As for people who have taken the pill how is it? is it to painful? im just confused of what to do and scare because I've never gone under anesthesia and i dont know what to expect from that either.
