Suicidal Little Brother

My 8 year old little brother came home from school today in tears saying he had a bad day. I asked him what happened and what was wrong and he said he wanted to kill himself. I asked him where he heard that from and he said NOWHERE. I don't know what's wrong with him but if any of your guys know what to do for little kids please help.
