Formula questions??

My 6 week old is severely constipated. He's taking Similac Sensitive (Orange can). His pedi doctor told me to try switching formulas. I just tried giving him Similac Total Comfort (purple top)  anybody's LO taking Similac Total Comfort? any experience?? thanks!

Total comfort is working so amazing for my lo. She has been on it since she was 3 weeks and I thing it has something to do with her sleeping through the night since she would wake up before with spit up and painful gas. My baby is two months yesterday and eats 5oz every 4 hours but sleeps 7-8 hours a night. She has been like this since she was about 4 weeks. The pedi said it was perfectly great since she is gaining weight and is hitting all her milestones and more and that I'm just one of the lucky ones that got a baby that sleeps through night. She pretty much just makes up for what she missed eating at night during the day. And she is growing like crazy she was 12 pounds 8 ounces today.

we HATED the Similac sensitive kind. we got Similac pro sensitive because we hoped it would help with his gas pains and slight reflux. but it made everything worse. I feel like it was because the main ingredient is corn syrup, which is not any kind of milk or protein. but I'm not a doctor so idk. 
we continued with Similac pro advance and just added gripe water when he is having pains. 
we didn't try the comfort kind, but I do have a sample of it. let me know how it goes!

I gave 6 week and have continued to give my baby a small amount of organic apple juice and water and iced it to 1 ounce. He never has constipation issues.

My LO's use Enfamil Reguline which was the 5th formula we tried and the only one that didn't cause them to be constipated. Due to purchasing large cans of each formula we tried, we're currently mixing our formula and they're still not experiencing any issues with gas or constipation.

My baby has been on total comfort since 2 1/2 weeks old and it's now 5 weeks old. He's done wonderful on it!

Tonight as my baby was squirming with gas pain I went ahead and did the thermometer in the butt trick. Literally as I removed it he pooped. We use the Kirkland formula as a supplement to breast milk. The iron makes him constipated and poop maybe every 2-3 days. I don't do the thermometer unless I can tell he's in pain straining.

My baby was on total comfort and has been working great! He loves it and Its take. Care of his constipation like a charm!

I used total comfort. It went through my son like water. His poop was green and it STANK. 
We switched from sensitive to total comfort as well.
We are no on Enfamil AR due to his reflux which also attributed to him wanting to eat when he wasn't asleep. 
It also smells like cheeze-itz 🤢

my guy was constipated on that too. we even went to the er for it. we switched to Similac advance and had to use suppositories for a few days, but now he is right as rain. get the liquid suppositories! they work in minutes.
