TTC post depo shot

My fiancé and I have been TTC for almost a year now with no luck. For a few years I was on the depo shot, Feb 2016 was my lost shot then I was on the pill may 2016-aug 2016. My periods when I stopped BC were all over the place, couldn't been consistently tracked and in July my face recently broke out with what appears to be acne caused from hormones. Only just recently have my periods been consistent so I'm hoping my body is finally back to normal. Has anyone else ever been on the shot and finding it hard to convince? I told my gyno in May my concerns and he said to give it a full year(from our starting point) before coming back in ..I'm just about at the year mark but now wondering if I should give it another month or two..this is my ovulation weekend so hoping for the best!
