What do you REALLY need in your hospital bag?

I'm going to start packing my bag today but curious what you really need. I see all these huge lists and it doesn't seem like you would need that much. I thought seeing other people's list will help me not forget something.

For me: comfortable panties, robe, nursing bra, pads galore!, travel hygiene products, phone charger and my Gameboy (helped me through labor lol)'
For baby: two outfits (one newborn, one 0-3 months she was huge and needed 0-3), diapers, wipes, bottle just in case, small packets of formula, jacket (winter baby), diaper cream, nursing cover. My sister in law took her hoppy and loved using it at the hospital.

Couple of comfortable clothes, all though you will probably end up naked during labor, hygiene products, hair brush and hair ties. But honestly, for you, that's all you'll need. Hospital will provide tons of stuff.
For baby, diapers and wipes if you don't want to use what the hospital provides, and a couple outfits for him/her.
Oh, and phone chargers!

I lived in my nursing bra & a tank top & preggy yoga capris. Hospital had mesh undies, giant pads, swaddles, diapers, wipes & premixed formula if needed. Phone charger, toiletries

What I liked having the most was tank tops. Just spaghetti strap, cami style tops. If you're breastfeeding, that's what I really recommend wearing because it's easy to pop the strap down and nurse. The hospital probably had pads, but I recommend bringing your own. I liked the always infinity. They're the most comfortable for me. Pack old underwear that you don't care about ruining. A few snacks if you want. Chargers for your phone and other things you want.
