I posted this is another board but didn't get any responses so I'm trying here. Sorry if you see it twice. My son is 16.5 months and in the last few weeks he has started a new activity where he grabs his blanket and just lays on the floor for a few minutes. I've tried offering him a nap to see if he's tired, and he doesn't want one. Sometimes it's when he had a nap not too long ago (so I know he isn't tired). Is this a normal behavior? He's my first child and he's always been so hyper that to see him act ready for bed, but not sleep is unusual for me and I immediately jump to "omg is this a sign something is wrong?" He gets up and plays usually after about 5-10 minutes of resting like this, but does it a couple times every afternoon like he's charging a battery.
