hair loss

Has anyone during their pregnancy suffer of extreme hair loss? I have been losing hair like crazy. My mom told me about an old wives tale that when you are expecting boys they give you beauty and when you are expecting girls they steal your beauty and can cause things like blemishes and hair loss. At this point I still don't k of what I might be having but I do know that when I was pregnant with twin boys I did not lose hair this bad. Any of you could share?
