Tongue piercing?

So!! I want a new piercing and sorta want something I wouldn't normally do. Is this sort of a hidden piercing unless you're sticking your tongue out? I guess what I'm asking is, can people see it when you're talking, or is it more so just when you want people to see it? Any tips or info I should know?

I did mine myself when I was in high school (don't do this 😂) but my parents didn't notice for TWO YEARS) and the only way they found out was because they saw a pic with my tongue out 🙊

Depends on how wide your mouth naturally opens when you talk. Some peoples are very noticeable especially when the jewelry is a light color. I've had mine done for almost 3 years now and most people don't notice I have it unless I laugh or yawn. It will take some time during healing for you to get used to it and you may get a slight lisp from the swelling

I've had mine for years. First few days it's harder to talk and eat certain food because your tongue is swollen, after that, if the pirecing is nicely put no one can see it. Some of my coworkers didn't notice it until I told them. If it's in the right place people can't see it, unless you laugh with your mouth open or yell a lot and have a shiny ball piercing 😂

Most people don't notice them, except when you first get it. You'll have a swollen tongue and lips. Clear ice will be your friend, sonic or ampm mini cube ice is the best. Once healed fully if the bar is long order shorter ones online to avoid it clinking on your teeth as much. When getting it done expect to drool, ask for a paper towel for your lap incase the piercer doesn't catch it while they're working. Make sure to eat, drink water, and get sleep before getting it done.

Some people that get them need a few days to adjust to talking with a tongue ring in. From my experience of other people they seem to have a lisp and spit a little when they talk at first, hahaha! But that's probably the initial swelling of the tongue and adjusting to it.
Oh and get balls on the tongue ring that are less likely to smash your teeth if you hit them with it.
