When's best to buy a travel system pushchair? sales?

I'm due next year and getting some general ideas of what I like, I love the travel systems to save space and money and my mum's offered to pay for one for us however when's best to get them, do things like this generally go on sale in January after Christmas or black Friday sales?

I would wait as close to delivery as possible as sometimes certain brands tend to get more recalls than others. 
If you do purchase it, do not take it out of the box as you can not return it to the store.

Yes but there's always lots of sale during the year too.. figure out key points in your travel system for us it was need a compact stroller that would fit in small car but still had a big basket. We wanted something with a longer shade to keep him out of the sun, light weight but durable.. google these or just search best strolller and read the reviews on them once you have found one you think will do the job go to the store and take it for a test drive preferable with hubby or person that with also be using it a lot if it's the one wait for sale but if not then you can keep on looking! Thats how we found our we got the Chico brovo stroller and love it!
