I'm 36 weeks and just had my cervix checked for the first time. She said it was soft but nothing else was really going on to suggest labor was coming.

It's been about an hour since it was done and I've had cramping since. (I've never had a contraction so I'm not exactly sure what they feel like but I don't think I'm having contractions)

Is this normal? Can cervix checks put you into labor?
