Positive urine test, why blood test too?

I don't understand, my two home test were positive, my doctor took an urine test in the office that was positive and then another when I had to draw blood too. Why do I need to draw blood for?

You're gonna need to draw blood a lot throughout your pregnancy, but specifically for confirming a pregnancy it's to monitor and look at you're HCG levels to confirm you are indeed pregnant and growing.
