if children aren't carefully watched they will get into things they aren't supposed to. right and wrong can take until between 6 and 10 years old to develop...at age 4 you cannot reasonably expect your child to not get into things

they get into stuff in a less dangerous kind of way because at that point the begin to understand when you tell them that it could hurt them so generally they don't do it

my daughter is 2. she loves to explore and is very independent. we let her roam and check on her every so often. she knows what not to get into, but does it anyway. kids won't learn if they don't get into trouble.

They're still going to get into stuff. But at that point, they should know better than to get into crayons and color all over the walls for example. But they're still curious and will still push the boundaries a bit.
