has anyone proposed to their boyfriend because they were tired of waiting?

I'm seriously contemplating proposing to my boyfriend. We talk about getting married and getting engaged all the time. Just when I think he's going to propose he doesnt. What were the reactions you got from your boyfriend when you proposed? were they embarrassed?

so my husband and I were together for 10 months through that whole time we discussed  marriage a few times he always said he was saving for a ring. I said dude you work at Walmart go pick up something cheap lol he wouldn't do it so when that 10 months came up we were in our bedroom (moved into our own home at. months) I said hey we re getting married .. like now so do you want to travel and elope or do you want to have a wedding he said well I know you want a wedding I said ok well June 23rd is the date he said ok and he made the announcement  on Facebook that day lol  so I didn't do a nice proposal  but I sure let him know. we got married a month later had a wedding of 100 people it was beautiful been married for 3 years. oh yea so after I asked  him I said  I have money let's go look at rings  I picked out 3 and he picked from the 3 that I liked and he applied for a Kays  credit card and bought it sorry for the  long post :)
