To mommas

I've always wanted my mom to be able to be with me when I have my baby, even before I met my husband I always wanted that. But my husband has said from the get go he only wants me and him, he feels like having other family in there will ruin our moment. But I don't feel that way, and I tried bringing it back up. My mother in law even says my mom should too but I just don't like fighting. It would just mean a lot to me to share the birth of my son with my mom and husband. Have any of you mommas experienced this? Or have any advice?
