My boyfriend was talking to one of my friends about some of his friends and he was telling my friend about how these 2 other girls are really pretty. Of course my friend told me so I brought it up to him. He doesn't see a problem with it... But he has a problem when other guys compliment me.

I think it's fine. I mean it's not flirting if someone doesnt say it to their face. It's just an observation, doesn't mean he thinks it any less pretty. But if it  Bothers u then tell him.

It seems weird that he'd made that comment to your friend but I don't think it's flirting. Maybe tell him it kind of bothered you that he's okay with complimenting other women's looks when he's not okay with other men complimenting your looks.
