OPKs- when to use?

When do you use them? All month? Just when you think you're around ovulation time? I'm new to this and wondering when to start!

It's a waste to test everyday during your cycle.. we can't OV while AF and if BBT you'll know you OV'd after a 3 day temp spike. OPKs are to narrow down your FW for better BD timing. The SMEP helped me time when to start testing (CD10 is suggested) but it depends on your cycle. Along with BBT, I only end up using 7-10 OPKs/cycle and once OV is confirmed (BBT/crosshairs on your chart) I stop testing until the next cycle. The only exception is when theres a weird cycle (OV was detected then crosshairs  disappear) then I'd test daily til a + then based on my average luteal phase predict the new AF due date (late OV = late AF). So on average, pack of 100 easy@home OV strips could last you 9-10 mths for about $30... WINNING🙌🏽. Hope this helps

I'm now in my 3rd month TTC, and 2nd month using OPK's. I start testing every day after AF. Between taking my BBT and the OPK's I'm hoping to get a more accurate picture of when I ovulate.

It depends on how long your cycle is for when they recommend you start testing...I start testing as soon as af stops. I bought the 100 pack of easy@home opks from amazon

I follow the directions. This is the 3rd month I've used OPK. First month I got a low then peak. Last month high for like 9 days but no peak. (Using CB digital advanced) This month I changed kits and got a LH surge 4 days into testing. Good luck!!

Everything I've seen recommends starting to test on cd 10. Personally I start on cd 12 because I ovulate later.
