Just came out as poly to my mother, with a positive response. I know that polyamory gets really kind of shut down as soon as it's mentioned because it's usually thought of as cheating, or sleeping around, so I've always been really quite scared to even imply that I'm interested in anything other than a monogamous relationship.

I spent a lot of time when I was younger feeling like I had to choose between my partner and people I had feelings for, and it would absolutely tear me apart. I've never wanted to have to choose between people I love when the bottom line is that I love them.

With that being said, I'm glad to finally be glad with my two partners, openly.
