Advice needed badly, about someone on drugs

someone I am close to battle addiction for years. and has been clean for little over a year now. she told me to go through her purse and get something , and I found a crack pipe. people have been sayimg shes back on it, and ive been standing beside her telling everyone that she has a great job and wouldn't be that stupid to start all of it again and loose her job, and the trust of her kids. should I throw it away and tell her I found it and threw it away? Or should I ask about it and then throw it away? I really don't know what to do, I don't want to tell anyone else because they will over react. Help !
