My delivery story time 😭😭 it's actually pretty funny. I was 40+5 weeks and set to induce on Monday (today) But I went into the hospital on Friday with cramps earlier in the day and TOTAL exhaustion, over all flu like pain, back pain that turned into really bad contractions eventually, the doctor wanted to send me home or give me BENEDRYL to sleep through real contractions! but my fiancé expressed himself to him "politely" (let's just say the doctor apologized to me and so did the midwife) and got me morphine and a bed to observe me. Morphine didn't even help, I've barely slept since Friday morning lol. Over night, I went from 2 cm dilated to 3 cm, and was sent to labor and delivery because they didn't see the point in sending me home when I was progressing and set to be induced a few days later anyways, which is great because I was in true labor on my own by this point. Eventually after working through contractions for a few hours they gave me nitrous which really helped because I wasn't getting morphine anymore and contractions were FULL FORCE! Then at around 6 pm they gave me an epidural and broke my water. That was the plan from the beginning when they decided to keep me. I couldn't feel any contractions anymore which is awesome. Next thing I know, I start feeling pain again that the epidural can't take away.. like I had to shit REALLY bad and I had to force myself not to push. I told the nurse but it was shift change so she gave me a catheter and emptied my bladder and then my actual obgyn came in and checked me and was like "well I can see why you're in pain, the baby is right there!" So they set me up to show me how to push and I start right away cuz I've been holding it and that freaking hurts. So my ob comes back 5 min later and tells me 2 other women are in the same position I am at the same exact time and she has to go with whoever delivers first so she may not deliver me, but I was in go mode. So she comes in another 5 minutes later and looks down, sees the head, and starts throwing stuff on and is like "get the team in here! Why isn't everything set up! This baby is coming!" lol so I gave it MY ALL literally and I pushed this beautiful baby out in 23 minutes all together. 😎 he looks exactly like my fiancé and nothing like me lol but I love him so much he's so amazing, I couldn't even imagine the love I have now! Born at 8:05 pm, 7.5 lb, and a whopping 21.5 in 😍
