Being pregnant and asking for a raise

I work in an environment where it is target and numbers driven. If you meet your target - fantastic! If you are lower on your numbers in a month, your boss will ask you why.

I have been in my job for 1 year and 9 months. I was suppose to have my review at the 1 year mark but never got one because the firm was moving buildings and in renos and just disorganized. They finally gave me my annual review and said they are super happy with my numbers. They asked me what I would like in terms of compensation and what my goals are for next year.

I'm feeling completely overwhelmed because I don't know what to say. I know I deserve a raise based on past performance but I can't stop thinking about the future. I'm 9 weeks plus one day. No one knows at work. I feel like a complete fraud if I tell them what my goal is for next year when I'm going to be dropping the news that I'm pregnant and be gone for a year for Mat leave (in Canada it is a year). At the same time I feel bad asking for a larger raise because I know I will not be able to bring as much money next year because I'll only be there until I go on leave.

Looking for some guidance and what I should say. I know what my legal rights are but knowing that and maintaining a good relationship with my employers is a difficult balance. I don't want to leave a bad taste in their mouths. I want to come back to my job after and I want them to trust me. My husband thinks I should hint that we have been trying to have a baby so I wouldn't feel so bad after I tell them in a few weeks.

Does anyone have any advice? I don't know how to approach this.
