What would you say/do to your son if you found out he is physically/verbally abusing his wife and cheated on her?

For the abuse, you can call the police. The cheating is between them so I'm not sure what all you could do about that?

I was abused in my previous relationship. I went to his mother because I thought she was the only one that could get through to him. Her response? "What are you doing to make him mad? You should really just get out of the house when he gets like that so that he can calm down..."
You may be the only person she's confiding in... so please listen to her... encourage him to get help, and encourage her to get out.

Don't talk to your son about it, help the girl get away from him. Support her and back her up when he tries to win her back, if he keeps abusing her there are centers that help women escape from domestic abuse. I was in her position, had to leave the state to get him away from me. They helped me the whole way through
