She's here!

Traci

Saturday was my due date and I felt a little different all day starting with waking up early with a horrendous back ache. I assumed I slept wrong and went about my morning with slightly more intense (what I assumed were) Braxton Hicks contractions as I was only getting about one an hour. By around 1pm they had started to pick up to 3-4 an hour, but nothing bad and the strength of them was very intermittent. My husband and I figured I should start tracking them more to see if there was any type of pattern forming or if they were getting closer together. Fast forward a few more hours and I feel like it's about the same, we're at 5-6 contractions an hour, but still varying in time apart and strength so we were going to just keep monitoring since our doctor follows the 5-1-1 rule to go in, then- bam my water breaks! I didn't even think I was in real labor! Get to the Birthing Center a little after 7pm and I was already 5 cm dilated, by 10pm I was 9.5 dilated and pushing by 11pm. At 12:21 am on Sunday, September 10, Olivia Ellen was born. Only 21 minutes after her due date! We're so in love with all 19.5" and 7lbs 4oz of her! 💕
