Should the identity of minors that commit violent crimes still be protected?

Yes!? I'm shocked by the number of people voting no. Criminals still have rights, and minors charged with crimes are wards of the state and deserve legal protections. They can be rehabilitated in juvenile detention centers if possible. 
Revealing their IDs almost certainly insures they won't be able to get jobs, get an education, become functioning members of society. Regardless of whether you think they deserve that chance or not (they do), it's better for everyone if young adults can be employed and educated and functional. 
Why would anyone wasn't that??

I know exactly what you're asking, I should've actually read the question before answering.
Anyways no, I think once you hit age 13-14 you should be tried as an adult for violent crimes and I believe if you're a criminal, minor or not, your criminal information should be made public.
Especially if you're a rapist or you're a racist white devil who tried to lynch another teenage boy (which I'm assuming that's what your post is referring too).
Those little white demons should be executed idc 🤷🏻‍♀️ or at the very least publicly shunned and ruined for life as well as serving prison time.

No, they shouldn't. I went to high school with a rapist, we didn't know, why? He was a minor at the time. He is currently back in jail for domestic battery, rape and stalking.

You commit a crime like murder, rape, battery, etc, in my eyes you have lost your rights.

I think it should during the trial, because they could be innocent and it's not fair to ruin someone's life like that, but once they have been found guilty, then yes, it should be public knowledge.

8. Rational choice theory 
Sometimes it's hard to understand these subjects if we just accept the things we see in the media as factual and let misconceptions fester. 
I personally did not understand most crime or why offenders made certain choices, that is why I studied criminology and criminal justice and I am thankful every day for the insight and understanding I now have. ⚖️

I think if you're like 16/17, maybe even 15, and you're out doing some crazyyyy ass shit... jumping elderly people, raping people, beating people to DEATH and video taping it? release their info/names and show their disgusting faces on the news. I have no sympathy for them and their "privacy". I'm sure many people disagree, but some teens are capable of committing crimes far more violent than adults. There comes an age where someone should just know better.
