IUI with clomid vs injectables?

Can anyone tell me their experience with iui vs injectables? I know the price is significantly more expensive with injectables but I'm trying to see if it's really worth the extra money. I had one failed iui on clomid and only produced one follicle.

I didn't try clomid due to my age, RE started me on injectables right away. We did 2 iui cycles, got pregnant on first but ended as a chemical and am currently 39 weeks from cycle 2. Both cycles I had 4 mature follicles after 8 days of meds. It's definitely more pricey but was worth it for me.

I tried both. Unfortunately I was resistant to Clomid so moved onto injectables. After 3 rounds of Ovulation Induction and IUI's we decided to move to IVF due to cost and success rates. I have just finished my first cycle.
