Confused

Look I guess I'm not what you call an "adult" because I don't have my own home and my own bills, well fully however I'm in the process. Anyways my boyfriend of almost 6 months has not once yet come to see me. In the beginning of our relationship it was no problem but as of late transportation hasn't been as easy. Yet in the last 2 months I've asked him come here he always has an excuse. I feel us drifting apart and I've told him but he is still being an island. I don't think I can keep doing this without seeing him or having better communication. Am I wrong or being selfish for feeling this way? I mean I know and get that he has to work. However is it to much to ask for to spend sometime with the person he claims to love? I mean we don't live that far away 3 hrs max. Yet some days I can hardly get a text from him. Can someone help me?
