Update , please respond

Normally my periods start like clockwork .. this cycle I started spotting 2 days early and I normally don't spot at all so I thought this was implantation but it started to get heavier and acted as a normal period except without the cramping etc, I never passed any clots and it was lighter than normal periods but nothing questionable as this was the start of my period but after 2 days of this bleeding I just started spotting again , I'm very confused does anyone have input of what they think might be going on ?
