summer baby

it will be almost summer here in Australia when my baby is born in November. we've already been told its going to be one of the hottest summers ever in Australia so im wondering we dont have a pool but want to get a small family pool for our yard that would just have fresh water in it (no chlorine or salt etc) and so im wondering when would it be safe for me to go swimming in it with my baby? i would obviously have her wearing a hat and long sleeved swimmers and we also have a large umbrella in our yard, im just concerned if its ok or not to take her swimming at a young age. sorry for the long post
