Bf advice

Me and my boyfriend made plans like a week ago to go somewhere I really wanted to. Yesterday he said he's going to watch the fight tonight with his guy friends and he completed dissed our plans. I wanna react mad but I also don't want him to think I'm trying to control him and or keep him away from friends. He isn't understanding his mistake. I need advice on how I should react. I'm upset should I just let him go without bitching? It's already too late to go to what I wanted to go to now
