Anyone from Australia??

Hi!
I'm travelling to Australia with my 10 month old (I am from Canada) and I was just wondering if there are any "common sense" things you just DONT do with an infant over in Australia that someone from Canada wouldn't know about. 
Like, for example, is it safe to take her to the beach?
Is it safe to go in the water with her?
We will be visiting Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Hamilton island so far. 
I don't live anywhere near an ocean or beach so any tips and tricks/ advice would be great! Thanks!

I would just make sure you are aware of jellyfish and supervision is always needed as there are some sea life that could wash up that could be dangerous for her to touch. Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours and makes sure she wares a hat. don't swim in the rockpools , swim between the flags. Perfectly safe to take baby to the beach.

Gold coast is fine for swimming! You will love it. Brisbane has a man made beach in the city if you want to go swimming. I would travel north of brisbane to noosa to go swimming at the beaches. Havent been tp Hamilton but I'm pretty sure its ok for you to swim there too!

definately keep her under close supervision at the beach! if she doesnt know how to swim dont take her in the water. swimming in the ocean is very different from a pool and there are lots of waves. learn about riptides too. if youre coming in summer keep an eye on her in parks etc because the snakes will be out as well. ive seen a lot around already. i live south of brisbane.
