Anyone taken black cohosh/EFA supplement??

I took a black cohosh/EFA estrogen supplement. First child but we want mults, heard this stuff can lead to multiple egg release. 
Too for about 2-3 weeks with terrible hot flashes so I just stopped. Now I think it might've delayed my ovulation.  Anyone else have insight? Thanks.

I took black cohosh to treat hirsutism whilst I was using calendar method for contraception.

Whilst it was great for the hirsutism there were side effects which interfered with my cycle. For one, black cohosh will bring on your period faster so my cycles got very slightly shortened. It can cause cramps that feel similar to ovulation pains so, unless you're using a basal thermometer or ovulation tests, your actual ovulation date is not easy to track by pain alone. Before taking black cohosh, I was one of those fortune women who can always feel when they ovulate.

I do believe it can stimulate multiple egg release but I would say it is a risk. It's often used by women who want to induce a natural abortion, for instance. It will wreak havoc with your LH and FSH balance and I think it is very important to have a good sense of your cycle when you are TTC - but black cohosh will become the master of your cycle and you will likely not know what is going on. Your ovulation day will certainly come earlier and you might not be able to feel it because general cramping will be increased. A side effect of taking black cohosh is nausea, which might also be confusing when TTC.

On the other hand studies have indeed linked black cohosh to increased chances of conception.

In short, as soon as your fertility window is over you should stop taking it. Do not take black cohosh when pregnant or in the second stage of your cycle. Do not take black cohosh if you want to know what is going on in your body.

Only take if you are willing to surrender to the stuff, and take the minimal amount.

Apparently it can be taken to induce ovulation and also induce labor. From what I have read it's very dangerous.
