HPTs getting lighter instead of darker??

I guess I'm looking for some reassurance. My period is very irregular, but I track as much as I could. I have anywhere from 28 to 44 day cycles, so I'm not completely sure how many DPO I am. August period started 22nd and ended the 29th. I posted a picture of my tracking. The hearts are days we BD. The flowers is my fertile window and the red stripes is when my period was supposed to start, but could be way off. So I tested yesterday a.m. and got a VVFL. I tested in the evening again and got an even lighter line, but there is one. I was hoping with FMU today, it would be darker but it's BFN. This is our first time actively trying to get pregnant. Any of you had this happen before? Am I out of the game this month? I will definitely keep testing, just going a little nuts and hoping to hear some stories. Thank you and sorry for the long post!
