1pm, Wednesday, September 6th, 2017.

Drank the midwives brew. Just chugged it!

2pm, contractions started, I pooped twice and drank water, tried laying down, they wouldn't go away!

So at 5pm we (me, my mom and my sister) decided to head to the hospital (which is 20 miles away). I called my S/O (because he lived 40 miles from the hospital) and told him I'd let him know what they said and if it was real labor or not.

I was convinced it was real because they wouldn't go away and I was in so much pain.

We got to the hospital and they said I was 2cm and 70% effaced. They told me to walk around for an hour and they would check me again.

An hour later, no change. She told me it was false labor and sent me home at 8pm...

We got home at 8:30-9:00 and my pain was getting much much worse.

I was laying/sitting in bed, pretty much screaming in pain, and around 10pm I heard and felt a painful POP in my right side and I wasn't really convinced it was my waters... but when I got up to turn the air conditioning up, I felt trickles running down my leg.

I grabbed a towel and saw mucus and even more liquid! MY WATER HAD BROKEN!

I texted my mom who was at home 2 blocks away and my sister who was just upstairs with her kids, I then called the hospital and then called my S/O and said it was time to go!

As we were headed to the hospital the contractions were getting much much worse.

We got there and they checked me (and it hurts like a bitch when you're contracting and they check you!!) I was 4cm.

After about 30 minutes and an IV later, I was 6cm, I started puking and shaking and my face went numb from pain.

Finally after getting the IV in, they walked me to my delivery room (holy shit walking during contractions are the worst)

I got laid down and in between every contraction ice chips were my fav.

I felt the need to push, and during a couple contractions I pushed unintentionally. I was told not to push and to wait for my doctor.

I about had enough and asked for an epidural, she said "let me check you again before I give this to you" and I was 9cm (just an hour after being 4cm)

She said I had no time for it and my doctor came in and FINALLY I was able to push!!

I pushed for 30 minutes and baby BOY came out at 12:44am!

No tearing! Just skid marks.

I was so thankful I wasn't able to get the epidural, I had an all natural amazing (but very very painful) labor and birth!

I will say, the midwives brew DEFINITELY worked for me!

My 7lb 1oz, 19 1/2 inch baby boy is so worth all that pain!
