how do you breastfeed and be able to have a few drinks? How does it work?

Such a small percentage passes through. Having a few drinks is fine, and you dont need to pump and dump.

If you feel drunk baby can't have the milk. It leaves your system so you don't need to pump and dump.

There's an equation based on the type of booze and yoirnweight.  Also there are strips you can use to detect alcohol in the milk

As others have said only a small percent goes into your milk and will filter itself out. Only pump and dump if your drunk and engorged and you need some relief, side note though you can still save that milk and use it for rashes or ear infections. Rule of thumb is if you can drive you can nurse. Enjoy.
