Our October 9 due date turned into a September 20 arrival date, all on her own at 37w+2!! I will post a birth story at some point but the short of it is I started having mild contractions sept 19, 10pm, went to bed at 1am (normal for me), woke up at 4:30am with a bit stronger 15min apart and by 7am they were 4.5 min apart.
Arrived at hospital around 9:45 (still had to pack my bag- such a procrastinator!!), admitted at 11am dilated to 5.5 cm 70% effaced- total shock bc contractions did not feel THAT strong and I was not even a finger tip dilated at 36w. Labored until 2pm with increasing contraction strength and ended up w epidural (ouch but freaking incredible and not exactly planned for). Now 6cm 100% effaced.
Started pushing around 6pm when 10cm and station 0 ( this is too early in my opinion), took a break from 7-8 as she only dropped to station +2. Started again at 8pm and she was here by 8:21! Tiny peanut at 6lbs!
And a GIRL!! Surprise sex but we thought for sure boy! So in love with our little lady Cecilia Jane!! Feeling so blessed (and so tired already!!)!! 😍😊🎉
