Are scary movies safe to watch while pregnant?

The movie IT is coming to my local movie theatre. Which only plays one movie every weekend. So my husband and I have been waiting for a good movie to come to town. I love scary movies so I want to go watch it. I've been told by many ladies that scary movies aren't safe and it could cause harm to the baby. So I am not sure if I should even Go!

Lol girl go watch your movie. Unless you think you're going to have panic attacks or severe anxiety from it, you and baby will be just fine :)

went to see IT 2 weeks ago at 31 weeks lol me and baby were just fine. it's not that bad of a scare factor movie. more of a suspense type movie. might have helped that i read the book first. but you will be fine :)

UPDATE: Just came back from watching the movie. I definetly enjoyed the popcorn and such!!!🍿😀 & of course the movie was pretty good. I expected a lot more horror but there was a mix of humor and suspense. I thought it was a good movie to watch! 😏 Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to Go! ❤👌

Health wise you’ll be okay. But my grandmother always said being pregnant your not supposed to watch them lol so I stay away.
