How soon after having beer can you breastfeed?

Thinking of having 2 beers. I havent had any alcoholic drink since I got pregnant. My LO is 3 months. And Im in desperate need of a drink lol. Thanks!

They say as long as you're good to drive you're good to feed. My doctor told me to drink a beer to help my milk let down when I was going through a rough patch of breastmilk supply.

I would sometimes drink a beer or glass if wine while breastfeeding. I figure that the alcohol takes some time to get into your blood and then into your milk. Its not like the beer goes straight to your boobs right?!

Drink a dark ale made with hops; helps your milk production!
I drink one, and will still feed. My tolerance has completely bottomed out, so one is enough for me. I have been told that one is absolutely fine.
I do this about once a week; my Friday treat for surviving another week.

Pumping and dumping is a waste of milk. If you drink the alcohol remains in your system for however long. So pumping and dumping is wasting milk because there will be alcohol in your milk as long as alcohol in the blood stream. I was told you can have a drink but wait two hours before nursing from my lactation consultant. As they baby is older and their livers are able to tolerate more two drinks is fine just wait an hour or so. My little girl is six months now I will have two beers and nurse but never more than two !

I personally would not drink and then feed. I know it takes a while for the alcohol to actually reach your milk but better safe than sorry. If you plan on drinking, I would suggest pumping beforehand to get the good stuff then feed the baby that when they're hungry. I would pump and dump after drinking. I don't know how long it takes or how long it stays in your breast milk but I'm sure a quick Google or pinterest search could help you find those answers. Not judging you at all just so you know, I totally understand lol the only craving I had when I was pregnant was my fruity drinks haha (I didn't drink while preg) but just looking out for the little one :)
