Thinking about getting a carousel horse tattoo

I really want one because I love carousel horses and just horses in general. I think there so pretty and colorful. I'm even drawing some but I'm not sure if I should get one. I'm worried that I will grow out of it and then be stuck. What do you guys think? Also where would be a good place to put it I was thinking on the back of my shoulder.
