Things we loved
My second son is a year old now and these are the things I love/couldn't live without.
1. Pack n play. We use it when mommy and daddy want to shower together or stay in bed a little longer and just to contain him in general. When we go out of town we use it as his bed.
2. Lillebaby complete airflow & a baby k'tan wrap. I loved the wrap for newborn stage but the lillebaby from 6 months on. The lillebaby is a seasonal carrier cool for summer and has a sun shade but also works in winter.
3. Fisher price sit me up. We basically used this as a highchair until he could sit up in his highchair. I used it when I would take a bath and daddy wasn't home or when we watched tv. Side note: We have the fisher price space saver highchair and love it.
4. Muslin swaddle blankets. I used them for swaddling my summer baby so he wouldn't get hot. As a nursing cover, car seat cover, and at the pool for nap time.
5. Nursing bras & a hands free pumping bra. It makes life so much easier when you need to nurse in public. & the pumping bra is the best thing I ever did.
6. Bouncy seat. My son hated the rock n play and the swing. This was a life saver and we used it until he was 7 months old.
7. Green mountain prefold diapers with thirsties cover and a snappi to hold the prefold. We cloth diapered for the first two months and it was so amazing never having to run to the store for diapers. Breastfed poop is water soluable so washing them was easy.
I don't have a recommendation for a breast pump because I hated my medela pump in style but couldn't afford another pump.
