My boyfriend (of almost 5 years) and I are about to buy a property in Mexico (where I'm from). We have been trying to move out but I haven't had a good time at work and it's a bit slow so that was keeping us from moving out since we'd both have to pay for rent. Just recently he told me he wanted to buy an apartment in colombia, and I told him that since we were just starting with the property in Mexico and trying to move out here that maybe he should wait until we have more money then we can both buy the apartment. He said OK, then fast forward 3 weeks which was yesterday I was disconnecting his phone then I saw a message that said he needed to send bank info to buy the property. So I asked him about it and he said it was for his uncle.. I knew he was lying. 15 min after he tells me that it's actually for him and that it was going to be a surprise for me. I'm not too sure how I feel about it since he did it without me knowing, and he knows we could use that money towards renting in the city we're in. I thought it was a bit selfish. Opinions??
