what do I do about this whole situation?

soooooooooooooooooo I’ve been talking to this guy for say 4 to 5 months. But I’ve been knowing him since our high school days, We have somewhat the best chemistry and we both also have bad trust issues, this is the thing we’ve been acting like a certified couple but we haven’t made it official & I feel like every time we get close something comes in to slow down the process. I used to mess with one of his football team members in high school, which was 4 years ago way before I knew him and he just recently found out. It sucks because I wanted him to atleast hear it from my mouth. He’s been at this college for say 2 weeks enjoying himself and having fun and I’m proud of him for that but I just recently went down there and I seen his ass. We got it poppin ofcourse but before when we very first saw each other he hopped out the car and started hugging me then picked me up and kept hugging me and embracing me( ugh such a sucker for love💕 & I fucking hate it) we got in the car and mind you im high cause I occasionally smoke Mary Jane 😂 and I started bringing up if he’s been fucking with them corny ass college bitches like flat out annoying him. He keeps replying no and he’s never lied to me which he has no reason to because we’re building our friendship up more and next thing I know he says “I like how you show that you really like me, it’s ok I love you too” I wasn’t expecting him to say that but it blew my mind. I’ve met his mom and some of her side of the family and some of the dads side of the family. So I’m trying to figure out like what’s up! & how I should go about things. Like I love papi too but im the type of lover where I cannot love you half ass I’m either gonna go all the way or ima not love you at all..
