First teeth?

Question

My son is 4 months almost 5 and today I put a finger inside his mouth to see if any teeth were coming out and he has two little sharp bumps on the bottom on each side. Is this normal? I though the first teeth were supposed to be the bottoms front teeth?

Every child is different. My son didn't grow his in the normal pattern either. At one point he had 4 teeth coming out in different spots and his gums were so swollen, I had to go to the dr and have him give me the dose of baby advil, since for babies it's by weight and He was in so much pain.

Teeth can come in , in any order. I saw a baby who got her canines in first. It just depends on your babies body :).

Every child is different, my niece got her front two first and my daughter got her molars before her front four

Usually yes those are the first to come through but those are clearly teeth.

I was able to find one of his pictures. He got 1 on the bottom, then the top one that sticks out the most. He had 3 on too poking out and the bottom right tooth at the same time.  With the shadow forming on the bottom, that held for a few days before it broke through. So he had 5 teeth at one time keep pushing through. That week sucked the life out of me.

my daughter got her 2 bottom in the middle first, but then on the top she got the side one first. it all depends on the kiddo.
