I have a question and this may sound thick but I can't get a clear answer on google!

When you start to ovulate, is that the time when you have sex? Because ovulation lasts 5 days and there's 1 peak day, is the peak day the day you need to conceive because the egg lasts only 24hrs? What's it doing for the other 4 days?!

I'm so confused by this and I don't want to miss my window!
