Halp..Any fashion and music forward ladies?

I have a interview at Torrid. I LOVE shopping there but have NO CLUE about what is in style or cool music (I just wear and listen to what I like, in style or not) but, I want to be informed and know what I am talking about so I get this job. They were the only one to call back out of 75 job apps I have put in this month. I am googling in trends and designers but...ugh. I just need this job.

get a subscription to Teen Vogue or Nylon magazine. Just stay current follow the blogs etc.

not really into fashion but I would really research the company itself..... are they looking for someone to grow and promote within? what type of programs are they involved in outside of employee benefits? for example, when I applied at a health insurance company who was involved in Habitat for Humanity and other development projects within our community I went in armed with detailed knowledge surrounding their involvement and expressed what that meant to me and how I wanted to be part of a company who found those things to be important... they were floored that I did the time to research it and I was offered the job immediately..... Torrid may not be involved in anything that big on a local level, but maybe you can find out what the local or regional management would be involved in and if it appeals to you make it known that its not just about the paycheck to you, that you plan to stick around long enough to reach a position where you could make a difference and participate in programs like that...
